The Criminal Presence in Rhyl is considered part of the backdrop of normal Institutions of Rhyl, though at odds often with the Law and Legal Procedures in Rhyl. Although slightly more subdued, it follows many practices of the general Criminal Organizations of The Realms. No organization wants to draw too much attention to themselves as a destabilizing or chaotic influence to the detriment of The Red March and the constant battle against the Lich Lords forces at North Gate Garrison. Despite repeated attempts, the Criminal Presence in Rhyl has never been able to restrict access to or control the Mushrooms of Rhyl.
The Commerce, Trade, and Items of Note in Rhyl also has clandestine high risk trade with Kaald, through the Tolkisson Mountain Range; Typically it is handled through the Tea Lodges of Rhyl and/or the Criminal Presence in Rhyl.
Despite repeated attempts, the Criminal Presence in Rhyl has never been able to restrict access to or control the Mushrooms of Rhyl.
A few outsiders, like the Runnel Rats of the Northern Merchant Cities, have a presence within criminal operations in the Duchy.

The Gangs of Klyben maintain a very delicate balance with being useful smugglers and petty theft, but do not draw attention to themselves as a destabilizing or chaotic influence to the detriment of The Red March and the constant battle against the Lich Lords forces at North Gate Garrison. They only operate out of the City of Klyben in The Grand Duchy of Rhyl.
Shrine to Irrigi? In rhyl, the center of trade is the City of Klyben and it is almost certain that a shrine to Irrigi – The Grasper of the Found Baubles can be found in the Klyben Sewers, paid homage to buy the few small gangs of criminal operation here.
The gangs stay away from the competing Occultists organizations: The Ten Box Chemists (Rhylander Green Conjurists) and Quizman’s of Klyben.
The Ghost of Nehemiah is seen in the Klyben Sewers by the Gangs of Klyben as well.

The World-Tree of the Wyld is a sacred manifestation of the Wyld Faith/Green Church. The World-Tree is, at its heart, a conceptual representation of the idea of a life-giving tree that spans multiple orders of realities in which life grows and facilitates the exchange of energy and memories between continuum’s and the Laey.
Some Followers claim there is a multitude of these trees, connected via Laey Lines that provide refuge and a portal to the {green} afterlife.
Occasionally some cult or sect springs up devoted to the ideas of nature and/or life-giving powers when a special physical manifestation is found and is used to tap into the power of a Laey Line that runs through its roots.
The Elven Soul Tree is a grown and modified form of a World-Tree of the Wyld. Harvesting wood, branches, or any part from these trees triggers a powerful reaction, including animated attacks, and all manner of elemental based attacks. Only powerful beings tied to them can “coax” the tree to willingly give a part of itself; Powerful magic items are made from such things. Generally they are not as powerful weapons in terms of Standard Augmentation, but have more powers of nature tied to them.

Commerce, Trade, and Items of Note in Rhyl is a well documented and managed part of Culture, Education, Institutions, and Traditions of Rhyl. The only area the North Merchant Cities trading interests step lightly in is the Grand Duchy of Rhyl – the stability of the flow of goods and soldiers along The Red March is priority for fighting the Lich Lords at North Gate Garrison. Disrupting this has caused entire houses and organizations to be wiped out – its stability is paramount and enforced by The High King’s elite force of Black Gorgon guards from The Autumn Wall and the High Priestess of Aerna in the Capital City of Rhylan.
Heart of Trade: The city of Klyben centralizes and is a crossroads of Commerce, Trade, and Items of Note in Rhyl with the flow of goods and factions of the Council of Rhylan are constantly struggling for more control in this place.
The Bank of the Silver Stacks clashes with Klyben Trading Guild (most of the money lending and loans is done through them in Rhyl). The families for the Rhylan Grants are said to have secreted fortunes and loan money locally as well. All transactions are recorded and tracked per Law and Legal Procedures in Rhyl. In the County of Dunaise, Letiy Mineit Lending House is a female-oriented group assisting women in business.
These are the registered Trade Organizations/Institutions of the Realms within the Territories and Fiefdoms of Rhyl. In addition to trade in eastern Rhyl, Norblan Hostelers and Haulers operate several hostels in major towns and cities east of The Red March.
The selling of mystical items is mostly limited to these purveyors, unless one is a member of a specific order or faith. The proliferation and sale of powerful items outside the efforts of The Red March and defending North Gate Garrison is heavily frowned upon. They have been known to provide services to make Bonnet Cap Mix from the Mushrooms of Rhyl for those seeking a boost, but do not harvest it themselves.
The northern teas of Rhyl are known as the “Solavia Leafs” because those that are exported are almost all dried and shipped out of Solavia’s Landing. What is delivered to the Autumn Wall is almost all done at a secure place in City of Klyben.
The construction projects of Rhyl generally pull from the same quarries. The mining and quarrying of resources in these places has no central control or administration – though some are owned and operated by a single company/owner. This is not a comprehensive list, as there are numerous small and local quarries, but these are the major ones running that can support commercial levels of output. A series of small aggregate quarries on the Bronzed-Edge Tableland are operated by the Kuernsi Umbakian family out of Clallums Cross.

The group known as The Stonelights was a order of ‘patriots’ that operated in the north heartlands of Rhyl to exemplify the courage and dedication of the nobility in bygone times. They were all warriors, originally based out of The City of Correl, in Meargensdale Vale. Eventually they created a Preceptory in Rhylan and made it their headquarters.
Affiliated with Lightbringers: They took their name supposedly from a Stone of Light discovered by its founders and rumored to give unnatural courage and valor to those who basked in its light. The Lightbringers themselves never claimed them or associated with them in any official capacity.
Espoused Doctrine: The sect of The Stonelights was based on the value of the ancient Kingdoms of old Rhylan, though in memoriam and as a place for their second and third sons to find purpose in. They often functioned as genealogists and record keepers of bloodlines for this.

Establishment of the Grand Duchy of Rhyl, fiefdom of the Kingdom of Gladnor > CY 6514

They were all warriors, based out of The City of Correl, in Meargensdale Vale. They were founded in approximately CY 6528 in Doneels Stable.
They were seen as a form of a local knightly order, though they tended to wear less expensive and lighter armor than most knights.

The group was broken when it took offense to a wealthy merchants daughter as a practicing witch and held her captive. The merchant assembled a mercenary force and showed no mercy, hunting down and killing as many as he could around CY 7000.
In CY 6739 the order had the Preceptory of Katashet’s Reflection built in the City of Rhylan. They moved into it in CY 6741.
Each member has a large Skull Ring made of the highest grade of pure silver.
The daughter was never found, their headquarters was sacked, their treasure was never recovered and only a few were rumored to have survived – disavowing the order and its precepts.
Those of the Vhym’s Valiant Visions sect were known to cite the Stonelights as an inspiration.
Their council met in a room in Katashet’s Reflection with a round table named “Aruantor” (said to be made from the wood of a World-Tree of the Wyld). Each of the Kingdoms of old Rhylan would be represented by at least one member of their noble descendants. Embedded in the great meeting table center was a crystal skull, under which a light shone upwards creating a menacing and bewitching spectacle.
