Steel Realms

The Order of the Black Gorgon is a knightly order of the Steel Realms. Many of this famous order of knights – the High King’s personal order and bodyguards – rose to prominence in the Order of the Red Heart. Every Black Gorgon is personally knighted by the high King – even if they already be knighted by their own lord. They are not strictly martial in nature – priests, warriors, and magi are found among their members. Their ideals are the most important thing.

They often secure and command the Duty Stations for the High King’s Army. They are often trained and used on special projects and high priority missions; As such, many can often be found at North Gate gar, defending the Steel Realms against the Lich Lords and trying new approaches and tactics.

The Black Gorgons come from all walks – nobles, commoners, adventurers, humans and non-human alike. They have demonstrated that they adhere to the highest ideals of the High King and the unity and safety of the kingdom above all else. They have many accolades, titles, and rank before becoming a Black Gorgon – and for most their fame is well known in their own region. They are attended by the Gorgonades – a cadre of trusted support staff specializing in intelligence, logistics, supplies, and management which ensures every member of the order has access to anything they may need no matter where they are.

The Guild of Solars always provides a resting place for these.

Their symbol is a black gorgon on a white background.

The Order of the Black Gorgon has a Call Stone in all of the Ducal estates.

Well Kept Secret: The Hidden Hand cult of Malek still has a shrine and sacred attendants in Silverstone Tower. The ritual performed cleanses the aura for a time, hides the aura of life and allows secret forays north Rangers and World Watchers. This is an extraordinary well kept secret known only to a few in the prison who maintain it, a few who use it, the Sisterhood of Dohar Jaideen and a few of the Order of the Black Gorgon.
