Faerie Blood

Posted on January 5, 2026 in D20 Feature iCore Trait

A character with the Feature of Faerie Blood has to have had a faerie (elf) as part of their lineage. It becomes completely recessive characteristics after a couple of generations. It’s something that only manifests again rarely. Outwardly, the character is smaller and quicker than normal. Growing up, they have vision-flashes of life around them with the curtain of the world pulled back to see the Faeywyld version of it. Their dreams are of similar visions. Their countenance emphasizes the mixed lineage, especially their eye colors. They have an elf’s hair color and lack of body hair. Their ear shape and vocal capabilities allow them to communicate using Feyloise better.

Aura of Fortune

Posted on March 24, 2025 in D20 iCore Trait

[ Feature Impact ] > Positive

Cost: 3 CP & 2 Essence

Req/Limit: Must be taken at Character Inception

The character is favored by Fortuna, Lady Luck, etc. Whenever there is a roll/check to see if a random outcome is positive for the PC, it is made with Advantage, OR a single “+” or “-” 1 (or unit of value used) on a check. This includes activities that the PC is leading for their group as well – i.e. scouting and the like. It includes things such as a check to see if the PC avoids getting lost, bypasses an encounter, etc. The point is to reduce the danger to the character’s progress as they go through locales and make decisions.

Note that this can have a negative impact in that certain encounters would be avoided which may be dangerous but provide access to knowledge, items, or experience. It cannot be ‘turned off’ in any way, it is reflective of how their Essence is placed in The Pattern.

Legerdemain/Sleight of Hand

Posted on January 17, 2025 in D20 iCore Skill

[ Feature Impact ] > Positive

Sleight of Hand.

Accomplished Activity: Juggling, Pick Pocket, Game Trick (dice, cards, etc.), Palm Object

Sleight of hand can be used to hide what you are doing – such as picking pockets, palming an object (card tricks, etc.). It does not take this still to effectively hide something, but if you wish to hide an object on someone it grants knowledge of the best places that will be missed by a pat-down – places where clothing and culture may allow a refuge of deceit.
