The simple result is reflected as the most easily understood training & education, publicly accessible knowledge, or rooted in an intuitive approach; A primitive body or level of capability & understanding that mostly lacks more obscure details and requires little actual experience or exact/high detail knowledge to effect an outcome. Several things can be done to improve the chance and/or degree of a positive outcome for skill checks, such as: high Attributes & contextual/situational adjustments (ex: Steady Aim, etc. for combat). Penalties for any Lack of Capability apply.
The system uses a progressive scale that incorporates the ideas of Knowledge, quality of Positive Outcome & a target difficulty reflecting it:
Example Scope of Knowledge/Experience/Competence, Language Fluency: “Humans walk on 2 legs, live in homes, have babies, and as mammals have live births.”
Typical a Simple Outcome; A target difficulty is DC 10; Learning/Knowledge COMPETENCY = (skill/Trait) level(s) 2-4.
