The result is reflected as passing familiarity; a primitive body or level of understanding that lacks details and requires little actual experience or exact/high detail knowledge.
The system uses a progressive scale that incorporates the ideas of Knowledge, quality of Positive Outcome & a target difficulty reflecting it:
Example Scope of Knowledge/Language Fluency: “Humans walk, go there, have babies.”
Result Shift = BELOW: Failed Outcome | ABOVE: Simple Outcome
Result Shift = BELOW: None or N/A | ABOVE: Easy Difficulty
i20 Skills REPLACE d20 skill proficiency: Add the skill level + modifiers to the check ( Proficiency Bonus not used).
A single Result Check to assess Success or Failure AND quality which may be impacted by conditions which indicate a Lack of Capability (Unfamiliar, Unproficient, etc.). The GM can { } Narrate it, and players may request an appropriate impact when anything other than a basic outcome is indicated.
