Orrishai (abandoned Orrish lands)
Orrishai is the original home of the Orrish that followed The Blood of Saemon through the gate between worlds. Its lands are blighted and scoured from the ages of being “protected” by the Veil of Tears (now Curtain of Night). When the sun finally came to these lands as the Orrish invaded the south in CY 2331, everything not already over harvested or scoured by rain became dried and withered. It is of no use to the Lich Lords, the Orrish of Helca, or any other sentient race – it would be too much to work to restore the resources that were destroyed.
It is slowly, over thousands of years, coming back to life. The Orrish sometimes raid across it to hunt a few of the animals that have returned, and so the border (a night’s striking distance) between the current Dark Lands and Orrishai is mostly devoid of sustenance.
There are whispers among the followers of the Wyld Faith that settlers have begun to travel and build on the far side, away from the undead and Orrish.
