The northern teas of Rhyl are known as the “Solavia Leafs” because those that are exported are almost all dried and shipped out of Solavia’s Landing. What is delivered to the Autumn Wall is almost all done at a secure place in City of Klyben.
The southern teas popular in the central heartlands and kingdom of Gladnor are not as popular north of the Beyne River. Within the Grand Duchy of Rhyl, support of the more earthy and distinct teas of the north is considered patriotic. They are not exported south much beyond the central heartlands, as they are very specific to the palettes of the north. There are a few distinct pure and blended tea products of the north, though not nearly as much as those grown in the warmer climates of the south.
The elves of the northern climes are not fond of the northern teas at all, and prefer gentler sweet and/or floral brews.

The Kuernsi Family of Clallums Cross is a minor Umbakian in their homeland, located in the eastern area of the kingdom, but are the most powerful Umbakian presence and family in the Grand Duchy of Rhyl since CY 7965. The History of Clallum’s Cross is synonymous with the Kuernsi Family of the locale as the families and trade interests are owned and operated as the same under Umbakian cultural norms. Like most Umbakian family & family businesses, they follow the law and keep meticulous documentation.
They are, like their countrymen, followers of the Lightbringers faith, though their patron is Ikribu the Maker – not Balthazaar, as is most typical of Umbakians. They do NOT have any Justicars within their family ranks in the north – unusual though probably required for their favored position within the Grand Duchy of Rhyl.
The Kuernsi Family of the town of Clallums Cross pays to have prioritized access to the heralds of the High Temple of Aerna.
The Monastery of Ablocris itself was run by the Kuernsi Family located out of Clallums Cross. They released it to the Ablocris family, but it reverted back to the family when the monastery and its supporting areas were destroyed in CY 9041. They were quick to reclaim the area with a proclamation of Historical Designation to restrict exploration – though its been ransacked and scavenged repeatedly.
