The Gaur Dinuae Forest – “Forest Between Two Rivers” – is the eastern forest of mostly pine and ash in The Grand Duchy of Rhyl that butts up against the Tolkisson Mountain Range to the east. It has been heavily logged, and since the end of the Rylan-Elf wars is in the process of being managed like the Forest of Rhyl now, with the assistance of the local Elven Weald.
Stands of Spruce and Apple: There are several large stands of old spruce and newer ones growing. The elves of the local Weald have a trade deal with the Marack family of Autumnleaf Ale Houses and they age some of their products in and make winter cider with the apples.
Gaia’s Spring Abundance: The druids of the Gaur Dinuae Forest & Rhyl Forest and mountains and streams ensure water and soil health, and work with the World watchers to ensure proper management of the forest as a resource. It is no longer shrinking, but it is not growing, due to the rebuilding of a lot of structures in the last 500 years. The elves of the Weald in the Forest ensure the wild grains, peas, and beans are protected as fodder for the war horses that is kept in Pacification Garrison of Icewatch/Lorman’s Lament nearby.Knowledge is broken down by ease of discovery/availability & Meticulous Record Keeping may improve usability; Any attempt to know more than what's Pervasive will require a reference, source, knowledge, check, or access to someone who can get or provide either of these. Active Resource Management: The druids of the Vinewood Forest, Gaur Dinuae Forest & Great Forest of Rhyl and those of the many mountains and streams ensure water and soil health, and work with the World Watchers & Dryads of the Wyld to ensure proper monitoring and attendance of the forest needs as a resource to all.
Several of the high mountain springs and water collection points – especially on the Spring Serpent Trail – are also effected by Gaia’s Spring Abundance; This replenishes some of the minerals that are used every year in trade.

Vinewood Cut is a locale in the The Grand Duchy of Rhyl. Often there are World Watchers in the area, observing travel as it is funneled through the area. The “cut” itself is a bit of no mans land. There are no roads up to the plateau top nearby, no mines, no logging camp, no lake or streams – just about a 15 mile stretch of nothing but grasses. The ground bulges up about 3m total at its height in the middle of it. Animals seem to avoid it. Vinewood Cut is a gap between the southern edge of the Vinewood Forest and north end of the Enecio Peaks. For those keeping off the Bronze Edge Tableland, it is the entrance to the stretch of north-south travel that links the County of Dunaine and its neighbors to the north on the east side of the plateau.

Lake Caolite, also called “Emeraldheart” for its greenish color, is the greatest fresh water lake in the Heartlands still. Many rivers in the North Heartlands and some even from the central heartlands drain into it, and the massive Beyne River flows west from it to the sea. Ships from the Northern Merchant Cities, the Grand Duchy of Rhyl and other principalities of the Kingdom of Gladnor ply its surface. A great deal of trade and fishing is conducted on it. It is a gateway to many rivers used as travel for trade and people.
For a distance of roughly 15-20km around most of the edge of the lake is a depression known as Caolite Basin. The height drops about 1km over the distance to the edge of the lake.
The south side beacon in the Barony of Astret on Sentinel Hill can be seen by the territories that border the Caolite Basin/Lake Caolite; There is an accompanying beacon in City of Redmark atop Illisain’s Tower (but lacks the visibility range).
Common Ship Adornment: Quality items from the Inderood Bronzeworks in the City of Fortun are made for ships built and repaired on the Rhylian ports on Lake Caolite.
The settlements on the shores of Lake Caolite are mostly major ports for the shipment of goods. Because of the slope at the water’s edge. The basin itself drops about 50m over a 300m slope as a ledge around the waterline. This makes for few fishing villages right on the shore, and more town sized settlements with geological features providing easier shore access for fishing and trade. The eastern edge where _ is has a more gradual, silt filled rim with marshes. The Reedbed Shore / SaLT__of the NW area is also a lowland along the edge, but currents and winds make it far more treacherous.
Any territorial powers that have rights to operate on Lake Caolite (granted or allowed by the High King of Gladnor) to move trade goods and people, also include those chosen or volunteering to serve at North Gate Garrison; All of the later land at The Bloods Port in the City of Redmark.
