Observant is a trait that makes the character more prone to noticing subtle details and making deductions from them. It improves both Investigation activity and raw Perception uses. Generally speaking, an observant character can also process a scene as if they had taken greater care and time in a normal time frame.
The character gains a across-the-board +1 to all Investigation and Perception activities for each Measure of the trait. Unless a race or class grants it, characters can naturally only take a single Measure.

With Insight you can sense the motivations and intent of others and assess the truthfulness in relation to what they are displaying or claiming in social situations. Using subtle clues – variations in speech, body language, reading between the lines, etc. – you get a deeper sense of their motives, moods and attitudes. If successful, it will reveal that some part of what is being revealed is not 100% truthful or accurate. It will NOT reveal the actual truth. It can also be used to assess varying degrees of competency in a target, assuming the character using the skill has enough knowledge themselves to look for the signs of what they are trying to assess. This can come from the way a target moves, carries themselves, acts, assess situations, talks about and/or other more subtle gestures and clues they give off.
Frame of Reference: All Skills are bound by the character's Setting (physics), and the details that their culture/society's Science (gathered by Technology), direct experience, and/or collective Records are capable of revealing. A character may not be able to apply their full measure on a different world, with different species and tools. With a common frame of reference, multiple specific Lores can stack.

When a character adopts a Committed Pathway, they are locking in a certain aspect of the Archetype and progress from the time of Character Inception. Make sure you, as a player, know the historical and literary references of the Setting to fit with this or work with the GM to reflect a primal instinct and dedication to a vision that will support this. Either way, the commitment is obvious in thoughts and actions. This is recommended only for those with a complete character envisioning process well thought out; If the character deviates from this, they lose all of its benefits, and may have additional penalties.
This focuses on depth, not breadth, in a character’s capabilities. The character’s weave in The Pattern is tied by a stronger thread.

i20 assumes you are familiar with DnD 5.0 SRD™ (ref ver 2014 DnD Wikidot) and the ©PHB it is based off of.
Requirements: The character chooses to be a SINGLE PATHWAY/CLASS template (NEVER multi) and must choose their subclass @1st level – the moment of Character Inception.
Benefits of Adopting: +1 Essence, +1 Aptitude Aegis (if emphasized/used), +1 to any anima Reservoir whenever it is acquired, and +1 CP.
Health (Hit) Points: Maximum at first or second level (is some other feature grants it at first).
Penalties for Breaking: All benefits are lost and removed if already applied; An additional CP and Essence is lost (total -2). The first and second level HP are reduced to HALF (not the rounded up values – EXACTLY half).
Requirements: The player is committed to a character that evenly splits all their character levels among 2 or more classes. They must select these classes from the start, each class a ‘measure’ of the Split Classes. No single class can be more than 1 higher than the lowest. It is the slowest pace to gain ASI and archetypes.
Benefits of Adopting: The character begins play with 1 Character Weaves per class they define their Split Class measures with. Upon gaining any level, they gain an additional Character Weave; Outside of this, upon gaining any number of weaves, they gain an additional 1.
Penalties for Breaking: All benefits are lost and removed if already applied; The character immediately loses all Character Weaves, half any anima reservoir (mana, etc.) values, lose 2 Essence, and breaks all Attunements they have.

Your physiology must allow for this.
In addition to being a mode of locomotive movement AND a Skill – walk/run, climb (brachiate), jump (hop/spring), swim, fly – each one can be taken as a Accomplished Activity Trait for the Athletics Skill.

With Appraising, the character is conversant with the production, value, cultural knowledge, and use of goods. This is only academic, approximate knowledge – to a degree reflected by the skill level they possess related to the item they are appraising. The character has an understanding of the general value and availability of goods, and can test them to assess their item properties. Note that having skill related to the item may alone may be enough to assess physical properties exclusive of value. Assessing mystic items requires an applicable phenomenology skill: Occult, etc. This could be used (instead of Perception) in some circumstances to detect traps by noticing anomalies on normal features and items.
Accomplished Activity: – Lore Subjects, Object Types, Object Period (historical)
