The Schan-Karr of Haivelaugh (Rhyl)

Posted on October 10, 2025

Steel Realms
The Schan-Karr of Haivelaugh of the Haivelaugh Weald is, at its foundation, a normal Schan-Karr of the Steel Realms. The Schan-Karr here offers refuge and dream – it is a place of relaxation but an aggressive pursuit of a dream state. The Schan-Karr has a unique “Bent Flower” being produced – the Kythia’s Soulbreath.

A less sinister though alien experience is found in this Schan-Karr. It is said that some strange healing, euphoric dreams of lost control and orgasmic thoes can be found here. It is a safe haven for some of the mist walker creatures that are sometimes seen in the Weald that may walk freely if they are inoffensive.

These creatures may offer their own services in exchange for Essence, love, or memories that sustain such beings – for they are not safe outside the Schan-Karr from other species or faerie kind if they jeopardize the peace and stability.

Keepers of the Schan-Karr of Haivelaugh

Here the place is used as more of a test for the faerie folk. Those outsiders (non faerie) who react negatively to it are more trusted and desired as allies than those who embrace it. Many a designation of Friend of the Weald has been given out to those who reject the dream refuge it offers.

Hidden Knowledge > One of the Children of Blacknail is in The Schan-Karr of Haivelaugh.

Schan-Karr of Enthavelaugh (Rhyl)

Posted on October 10, 2025 in Steel-Realms

Steel Realms

The Schan-Karr of Enthavelaugh of the Enthavelaugh Weald is, at its foundations, a Schan-Karr of the Elven Wealds typical of the steel Realms. However, here Elves wear dark makeup and are sexualized in mannerisms & fantasy clothing and gear – it is distracting and disconcerting. Smiles and laughs are tinged with a strange wickedness. They seem quick to anger. The Schan-Karr has a unique “Bent Flower” being produced – the Fremlie Fold.

Reputation & Host to Outsiders

It is known as the “Schan-karr of the Gar-Dinuae”: Well known for the reputation of dream experiences available and a sinister reputation for drugs. Many of the nobles of Rhyl come here for ‘entertainment’. Sometimes elves participate in sexual Congress here to purge themselves of their desires or elven women go to experience a roughness or fantasy with outsiders they will not generally find among most elven males.

Drugs, drinking, and a party like no other is often endured by The Keepers of the Schan-Karr; Dark rumors persists of all manner of perverse experiences and orgies that can be bought here.

The Keepers of Schan-Karr of Enthavelaugh

Here in the Weald of the Gaur Dinuae exact their revenge on outsiders. Outsiders who pay good money for alien dream experiences and the broken and shattered dreams of life-bonded Weald members who experience the death aura of North Gate garrison in their service there. The purges of those broken emotions are then isolated in the mists of the Schan-Karr and sold as experiences to those wealthy and foolish enough to want to experience it.

This locale trains characters (elves) in the practice of the Rhylian Undead Hunters.

Dark Entity: Rumors abound that those of The Keepers of Schan-Karr of Enthavelaugh have a dark Patron within the Faith in the Weald Community of Enthavelaugh. Uorfek of the Loam, spirit of The Rimbus is sacrificed to here, in Greyfeather Lake. In addition to their role as priests, they often take this patron for a glimpse into the darker, deeper natures of others.

Honeystone Pollen Harvest (Rhyl)

Posted on October 10, 2025 in Steel-Realms

Steel Realms
Honeystone Pollen is one of the empowered elements coming from Honeystone Lake. This pollen has a property that causes ice to unfreeze and snow to melt in mass volumes.

Animation Killer: Honeystone Pollen also used in streams of the Vinewood elven Weald against a force of animations of the Lich Lords. The pollen into the water while activating the Vinewall magic as they crossed it, it dissolved the walking dead and damaged the undead! This happened twice in CY 8971.

Riders of the Har Cunetha take the Mare’s Milk & Honeystone Pollen on the road to keep exhaustion and sleep at bay.

A small amount of Honeystone Pollen is collected every year to be used in the defense of the Rhyl – to be used to keep areas clear for defense in emergencies in such places as the Eye of the Doget, The Hornguard of Rhyl, Houska Pass, The Autumn Wall and the like.

Honeystone Bees

Posted on October 10, 2025

Steel Realms
Honeystone Bees is one of the empowered elements coming from Honeystone Lake. There are many bee hives around the edges of the lake center & western edge of the lake.

The elves cultivate an extraordinary honey from this population and eat a great deal of it. Although no specific enhanced properties have been found other than imbuing materials with a sweet smell, the urine from the local heavy honey diet inhabitants is collected and used for:

  • Used a quench for the smiths of the Weald.
  • Tanning of Hides.
  • Providing a cyclical source of minerals for the bees.

Eye of the Doget (fortress guarding North Gate Garrison)

Posted on October 10, 2025

Steel Realms

The Eye of the Doget is a fortress in the mountains of the Tolkisson Mountain Range between North Gate Garrison and the forest of Gaur Dinuae that guards the left flank of North Gate Garrison proper (it is considered an official part of its defenses). It is the responsibility of the elves of Enthavelaugh Weald to man, supply, and ensure its safety. Honeystone Pollen is always on hand to clear upper fields used by Lich Lords minions in emergencies.

This is the primary contribution of the elves of Rhyl to its defense. Elves from other Wealds are often found here, as well as numbers supplemented by mercenaries in the deepest cold of winter.

The buried ruins of the fortress of Doget’s Burial was once the Eye of the Doget. It fell in CY 8817.

The fortress was constructed with the help of human and dwarven masons in CY 8831. The construction lasted 40 years – without the aid of the Ducateon, it went significantly slower than the original. Honeystone Pollen was used to help keep away the worst of the freezing to aid in its construction. Since the main fortress’s completion, several smaller connected redoubts have been added over the years.

External Responsibility: The fortress of the Eye of the Doget is managed as part of the Defenses of the Enthavelaugh Weald, though outside the proper boundaries of the Weald’s powers. Blood Leaf has worked over generations to ensure some of the Laeyline power can be channeled to its defenses – though the true extent of this is not known.
