Rootland Woods
The Rootland Woods was once called by another name, but with the coming of the River folk and establishment of the Shelfers Cradle alliance, the Dryadic population doubled and the area became more “Wylde”. The forest consists of a large stretch of wooded wetlands along the shore and a stretch of trees going about 40km inland.
Rulership: Elder dryad consensus
Population: 4 elder dryads, about 6-9 younger dryads, and a half-elven village of 200
The woods themselves grow shorter trees with massive trunks and deep roots now – the dryads contribution to the ship and building construction. They carefully regulate how much wood can be taken each year.
Bad History: The three small Gladnorean logging camps were confronted and their steady dwindling of the forest stopped. There were conflicts and the 2 small villages on the north side near the shore had all the fish and eel scared away by the Lizardfolk.
