Investigation is a Non-Combat Activity using a type of Surveillance Action that focuses a character’s Perception AND (usually) Reason onto an object, area, or scene/interaction in order to discover something about it. It employs their other skills and knowledge for focusing on a specific context and is NEVER passive, using multiple rounds of Time.
This activity generally does not trigger anything. Generally it trades time for safety, and requires at least 10x the time for Active Scrutiny (a minute minimum) to to complete, requiring Concentration the entire time.
The Observant trait can improve the chances and outcomes of good investigation. Characters can develop this type of action as Accomplished Activity – searching for specific things.

Oration is one of many Social Interactions that take the form of Influence Activities; A character’s Communication proficiency and knowledge of Influence are leveraged. Characters can develop these types of actions as Accomplished Activity.
Swaying large crowds to your point of view can be a daunting task. Orating to a government assembly, cooperate committee, or social club audience are all good examples of this. A preacher seeking to convert others is also done through an oratory check.
The Prepared Speech: A speech can be written ahead of time. If applicable, the speech writer can first make a Lore:[area] check – success means local references and reading level will infuse the speech for a +2 bonus on the speech writing check. The speech is written using a language check. If the check is successful, it gives the Persuade check a bonus equal to the RC of the language check. The GM may wish to impose a penalty if the speech maker is noticeably reading from a script; or they may give a bonus if its been memorized and seems impassioned and spontaneous.
Bribery: This may be overt (“here’s $50 to look the other way”) or covert (“who wouldn’t like to make a share of the cut for doing nothing”), but it is a promise of some reward that will benefit the target and can (if they are known to be receptive by reputation, direct knowledge or Insight) adjust the attempt to Influence them.

Seductive Persuasion: This is the art of attraction and using sexual and/or emotional desire to guide a target’s thinking to influence the opinion of the target. It can work on any denger, as long as there is would be a desire in the target for the character. This is a protracted and long play for persuasion. Suggestions are seen in a more favorable light, and they are far easier to influence through social persuasion.

Haggling, where a vendor/seller allows it, pits the charisma and wit of the Seller‘s Charisma (Persuade, Bluff, Fast-Talk, etc.) vs the Buyer‘s Charisma (Deception, Bluff, Fast-Talk, etc.) to shift the value. Haggling is generally for individual items, not large batches, especially of different types of items.

Persuade is one of many Social Interactions that take the form of Influence Activities; A character’s Communication proficiency and knowledge of Influence are leveraged. A character brings to bear their voice, gestures, lies, logic, and reason in an attempt to fast-talk, deceive, calm, or in some way convince a target they should believe what they are saying. The actions resulting from this belief are dependent on context. Characters can develop these types of actions as Accomplished Activity.
All the normal factors of Influence apply, as well as such things as Persuasion.
