Perception (senses, attention, awareness)

The Attribute of Perception is a primary measure of a Character’s capability to observe and process something through the physical senses. Impacted Senses is have immediate affects on the use of this Attribute. Characters may have a variety of Senses to process through their Perception dependiing on their Race/Species. It is related to the concepts of senses, attention, and awareness.

Many Features can affect it; It can also be impacted by mystic effects, and/or Items and Technology.

The minimum, average, and maximum values a normal range and adjusted values may vary, depending on a character’s race/species, biology and physiology in addition to technology or mystical enhancements. Use the standard resolution outcome process when making a test or check using this.


i20™ Attribute Details

The Perception Attribute (‘ability’) uses the SRD scale of 1-30; 20 is maximum starting for PC races unless noted. A permanent score reduced below 1 indicates character death. Perception and Sanity are “baseline” values for i20;trade; – They both start at 11 and are adjusted by Features acquired by virtue of race or experience; It can be swapped out with another starting attribute value at the time of Character Inception (it is not modified directly using the Point Buy method or generated by rolls).

Passive: Passive Perception results engage the same as active – they are basic checks done using the base Perception score, modified by applicable Sensory Expressions and context modifiers WITHOUT any base value added.

Intuition (wisdom, instinct, insight)

Charisma (personality, character, will)

The Attribute of Charisma is a primary measure of a Character’s capability to {placeholder}. It is related to the concepts of personality, character, and will (even willpower or drive in some cases).

  • Positive: Charming, theatrical, witty, fastidious, etc.
  • Negative: Crass, crude, rude, slovenly/unhygienic, etc.

The minimum, average, and maximum values a normal range and adjusted values may vary, depending on a character’s race/species, biology and physiology in addition to technology or mystical enhancements. Use the standard resolution outcome process when making a test or check using this. Many Features can affect it; It can also be impacted by mystic effects, and/or Items and Technology.

Attributes are an Essential Aspect that represent different distinct avenues of interacting with the world and impacts most common activities. Use the standard resolution outcome process when making a test or check using these.

The subjectivity of personal preference when it comes to Beauty as a quantifiable Attribute is is not a strict measurable mechanic outside of cultural or societal norms – though it is an aspect of Form Physicality Expression.
