Player Guidance

Online Content Discovery: Good role-players will avoid meta-gaming. Many pages have areas that are tabbed or use expanding to restrict content so that discovery of information not pervasively known or understood is obscured. This helps prevent some accidental discovery which might be critical to story elements that the GM wants to have some control over.

The Game Master approves all Features of a character before they can be used by the Player.

#1 Priority: Narrating Play and Actions

@RP: Roleplay is about describing your actions through the persona of your character.

Players – Be Invested: Investment is where the idea of failure, danger, and death has a real impact on actions. The player will should not assume success, and risk their character unnecessarily. Mechanical descriptions can only provide so much to narration, join in the GM to make the story vivid and interesting. These are optimal in idea, but there’s a learning curve to everything – experimenting is part of roleplaying. Healthy and balanced group fun (both Players and GM) overrides most concerns. This is a dynamic whose specifics vary from group to group, and is usually reflected in “session zero” type scenarios, and/or documented in a Gaming Contract.
