The Wylder Wends is one of the oldest order of rangers. It was formed by five sworn friends in the age of Second Dominion when the realms west of the Tolkisson Range (what would become the heartlands) were largely unpopulated and unexplored. These friends were loners, all followers of Gaia and the Wyld ways, but each knew that the future would see the realms forged in fire and bound by steel – the Steel Realms. They moved fast and mapped as much as they could, initially their brotherhood in direct service to the druids and the lords of the dominion lands of what became the Fallen East (now the Dark Lands). Now it is part of the World Watcher umbrella of orders. There are never more than about 60-70 members at any given time.
Original Charge: Originally they all vowed to watch the area bordering The Valley of Sighs and scout for things that escaped from it and were a threat to all. The two Dunstrand brothers were added to their brotherhood and traveled back and forth between the warring east (at war with the Orrish to the north in the land of Orrishai) and Gladnor in the west.
Dunstrand’s Origins: It is said by some that the two Dunstrand brothers of the original Wylder Wends, and their ally Reingol of Nurthland – a nobleman with connections to the nobility of most great houses of the east, and a strange seer – knew the horrific fate of the Fallen East. To that end, the brothers were sent to plant the “seed of the east” in a new place – a place which would eventually become the Grand Duchy of Dunstrand after thousands of years. Haegovel Dunstrand vanished into the Nanford Vale in CY 2294, at the age of 57. Aelivel Dunstrand sought his spirit, and eventually found it, killed by the burgeoning Sea-King clans scouting its western boundaries. Aelivel mapped the entire Nanford Vale, and insisted through Reingold that it be renamed to honor his older brother.
The brothers were said to have both been involved in the ritual of “The Serpents Eye” – dedicated to Sisslenn the king of serpents, now forgotten.

The Broken Delvers are those who watch the known places where the dwellers of the dark are known to inhabit or use to make attacks upon the lands of light. They are part of the World Watchers and Laws of the Land orders. Members of this order are some of those who belong to the The Ashwatch in the barony of Astret, of the Kingdom of Gladnor.
