Lore: Phenomenological (Mystical)

Type: Mystical (Manifestations)

Common Scope: Mystical Phenomenological Lores encompasses knowledge of relevant entities, processes, practitioners, places, and implements; No deep understanding is necessarily implied, without related capabilities/powers (including rituals). Much is centered around mystical knowledge related to the aptitudes and the mystical practices related to them. Like any other studied lore, Phenomenological Lores are bodies of knowledge which can be accessed either as purely informational or in conjunction with the practice of a specific capability. The aptitude based mystical phenomenology’s have some crossover. Much of the same knowledge of items and effects can be realized through all, though the fabrication, implementation, and manifestation may be different. Phenomenological Lores grant an awareness of related Anima Reservoirs.

Generally, the Common Knowledge gained by any competent skill practitioner can easily be gained by questions and study of recorded information. The Lore Knowledge Levels follow the standard Learning levels.

Frame of Reference: All Skills are bound by the character's Setting (physics), and the details that their culture/society's Science (gathered by Technology), direct experience, and/or collective Records are capable of revealing. A character may not be able to apply their full measure on a different world, with different species and tools.

Limiting Impact: Each rank/level of spell, class, or archetype may have a specific phenomenology and matching level that is required as the means of both understanding and manifesting it.

Common Requirements:

  • Significant time to acquire/achieve outside of Character Inception.
  • Advanced concepts that leverage this knowledge require progressively more advanced communication skills; This Requires Study + A Measure of Understanding = Lore level.

Manifesting of powers through Blood Magic using Vital Reserves is something mystical phenomenology study can assist with.
