Angels of The Radiant Spirit (Lightbringers)
The Angels of The Radiant Spirit are servitors of the Lightbringer gods. In the days of the Godswar, the Lightbringers called a host of several powerful celestial entities to their cause. They have clashed directly with the Entourage of Shadow and avatars of the Unholy Trio. After the Godswar, they intervened only when powerful entities of the dark had been summoned. These are often portrayed on the entrances to Lightbringer buildings as ‘heralds’ of their power and the safety and warmth the rising bring. These are beings of deep concentration. They are purposeful in all things. There is no cruelty in them, only discipline and focus upon their mission.
Manifested Presence: Their presence is bound to a measure of awe beyond what is humanly possible. They are of human form, but something is not right when you gaze upon them. The human form is recognizable, but only as a rough form. They are large in stature, all the same exactly 4m tall. Their skin is white, and a radiance of soft white light emanates from their alabaster-like skin. Unto them is a strange sense of multiplicity – when they move, their form echoes in the space-time they move through; Their outline leaves ‘trailers’ as they move.
Relationships within the Angelic Host: They generally don’t talk to each other voluntarily. Their oath is to their mission and purpose. Although seen as a “host” they do not operate in concert with each other, except when they fought during the Godswar.
Communication: These entities ONLY communicate materially in Orlecan – the native language of the divine Lightbringers taught exclusively to their followers in the Church of Light.
Powers of the Radiant Spirit Host
They carry inside them a quality in their presence that embodies the light of the Home of the Safe Hearth‘s concept and afterlife’s promise. Over time, their presences have been diminished, though mostly by choice in sacrifice or utter dedication to provide the bulwark against the darkness. Each has a different mission, though they are also a Divine Agent of the Lightbringers that the high priest of each entity of the Unified Pantheon of Lightbringers can call upon directly in a limited fashion.
Anaeth the Breath of Light
Anaeth the Breath of Light is the last angelic servant of the Lightbringers to remain as an active harbinger of their efforts directly. She is serene and with a calm and plain cast to her. No ravishing beauty like Kilvinaeth, her strength is in her quiet and determined presence.
Biraeth, the Sword of the Stars
Biraeth, the Sword of the Stars was shackled and bound by Everdark when the east fell; His fate is to be tortured forever and the sounds of which haunt the Lightbringers every moment.
Kilvinaeth the Song of the Sun
Kilvinaeth the Song of the Sun was the most awe inspiring beauty among the host, she was killed by Sun Stealer in the Godswar. Her blood soaked feathers are found in many temples, as part of a common Reliquary of the Lightbringers.Mitrabraeth the Giver & Soother
Mitrabraeth the Giver flies now perpetually in the sky, circling the planet like a satellite, reporting on what he sees and sometimes strangely interceding in the affairs of mortals. He is more an ally than servant of the Lightbringers. He is known to work with the Celestine of the Helca.
Ghilbanaeth the Watcher & Revealer
Ghilbanaeth the Watcher retreated to the Furnace of Whelm and lies dormant, nestled in the hot, bright molten depths ready to use the volcano as a weapon against any push south.
