Elven Wealds of the Steel Realms
Elven Wealds of the Steel Realms are representative of the common elven
Wealds and consolidated many of the earlier and smaller
Faerie Burghs. One feature that is unique to the Weald communities of the Steel Realms is the
Schan-Karr of the Elven Wealds. Every Weald has a
Soul Well of the Weald – a
Soul Tree or the like. Where possible,
Sap of Wound Closure is made and used by the defenders of the Weald.
Passers Wake: This is the ripple of each entity traveling through the Weald. The Seers of the Weald monitor this as part of the normal Weald defenses and processes.
All Elven Wealds of the Steel Realms have a weak manifested Mundi Spirit of Helca, it pulls from laey and connects Aelfpaths of the Steel Realms if possible (though on Helca most are broken and dangerous).
- These harts of the Weald are often used by local Faerie Wind Weavers to make small talismans that allow elemental resistance and increased vigor to those native and bound to the Weald.
- Wealds that are in the Great Forests with one of the Navels of the Wylden grant their Druid’s access to the Navel’s effects in their Weald.
- A few elven elders and Green Speakers know the legend of the Winter Elves.
- The designation of Friend of the Weald is given to outsiders who perform a service for the community.
Seers of the Weald
The Seers of the Weald monitor the Passers Wake. This is done through an elemental Amesha scrying pool in the Weald that shows the things the active defenses of the Weald are sensing. It ripples when there is a target of note. These seers are priests of an organized order of the Common Faerie Faith in the Steel Realms.
Items of the Weald
Typical of Elven Wealds of the Steel Realms, this faerie home is lit using Elven Lake Lamps including the annual festival; This eerie glow sometimes seen by outsiders and centennial festival add to the typical mystery and wariness of the Elvish home.
Weald (Faerie) Ribbons: The elves use things for talismans akin to Wylde (Ribbon) Talismans but materials are from the local Weald. Twice Woven Ribbons are made by the local Faerie Wind Weavers of the Weald, they can never have entered the Schan-Karr of the Elven Wealds they are tied to.
These invigorate the wearer while in the Weald or on a mission for it.
Common Threats
Moon Spider Threat: The Spiders of Go-Zen are also called “Moon spiders”. In the Time of the Cold Moon, they travel on beams of moonlight and can access to Aelfpaths of the Steel Realms to attack the enclaves and Wealds of their hated faerie foes of Helca.
Common Defenses of Elven Wealds of Helca
- All the Elven Wealds of the Steel Realms in Helca have Laey Lines going through them that can be activated to deliver messages, anima, and combine powers in Ceremonies that involve key members of the faith and community there.
- The Dryad-Elven Alliance in every Weald.
- Most Elven Wealds of the Steel Realms have a small group of elite warriors from the area, distinctive in both appearance and capabilities – though all tend to use weapons and tactics perfectly adapted to their home territory. These groups contain both women and men, young and old, pure warriors and a few that leverage The Laey using mystic powers. Examples:
