If a citizen, male or female, is tested and turns out they are good engineers and designers, good with science and/or alchemy – they go to the “Tinkerers Hall” were they are indoctrinated into faith of Ikribu. After, they are sent to The Iron Alloy Halls and work on the fusing of Virtues and perfection of build – automation and automatons, crop improvement, selective breeding, improved chemical processes, etc. (integrating science with faith as a form of Technomancy).

The Automata Brigade of Virtue and Reason is a branch of the military and government in Umbak that specializes in burgeoning scientific study and Technology of Umbak in their programs developed in the so-called Tinkerers Hall.
Outside of Umbak, this is mentioned in rumors only, it is a closely guarded operation that has been slowly advancing steadily over the last 300 years. The Automata Brigade of Virtue and Reason in Umbak built the original Red Rail system along The Red March using a form of Magitech/Technomancy.
It is critical in the History of Technology in Umbak. Automaton guardians and beasts of burden, chemistry, optics, advanced civil engineering, smelting and forging, and all things technology associated are under the monitor and/or control of this institution and the High Priest of Ikribu. The merging of the faith and spirit of cosmic order with constructs in service to the faith and its ideals id its publicized goal. Some of its outcomes trickle their way into trade education in the kingdom. The greatest Beryllide weapons are enchanted/imbued in the Tinkerers Hall.
They are one of the most ancient military orders of Umbak, going almost all the way back to its founding and sponsored by the Teilhard Family. They are responsible for maintaining Florent’s Array to monitor for incursions of Chaos upon the law and order that is the pride and order of their country. They were the first to adopt the use of Crown Tags.
Saison Region Protection: One of their strangest charges is defense of and maintenance of the Saison Region and the origins of the Umbakian traditional Saison Ale of the Amarata.
