Point Vigil is a rocky outcrop that thrusts about 1km into the Caolite Basin on the north side of the mouth of the Beyne River. Though it is claimed by both The Grand Duchy of Rhyl and the North Merchant Cities, it has no population or settlement tied to either. On the point is the lonely Shrine of Stone’s Vigil, loosely associated to those who maintain it at Umbregadore Tract.
The winds blow strong, and at one point there was a lighthouse about 3/4 the way to the tip of the outcrop. Facing south is a slight dip, leading to a grotto and a place called The Shrine of Stone’s Vigil. The area was uplifted to 100m above the basin’s rim in a long past seismic event, leaving only bare rock and above many of the mists and low clouds that form on its edges.
Nothing here but ruins now.
Old worn stairs carved into cliff for boats to supply the lighthouse that was once here (replaced by Sillin’s Western Waylight). It was made by forces of the North Merchant Cities. It is forgotten now. It is VERY dangerous to use.
A couple caves that had drains cut in them and used for stores. These are deep cut in the rock – dwarven handiwork.

The area south of the ridge that bounds the northern edge of the The Northgreens of Karolak is many Rift Valleys in it. These generally run north-south. These have large deposits of potash fertilizer that are mined and shipped out through the city of Karolak.

Finway Ridge of _ is a raised set of sharp upthrust hills in __ – northern territory claimed by the city of Karolak. It gets its name by resembling a set of dorsal fins coming up out of the water. It is a distinct feature of the area, and a well known landmark associated with Merchant Cities of the North. While it is not ‘sacred’ in any sense, it is seen as a place where the land and sea cultures of Karolak meet. There are many religious ceremonies of Elancil and others of The Grey Way held here.

The Culture, Education, Institutions, and Traditions of the North Merchant Cities
Together they share a culture which has its roots in the ancient Sea-King Imperium and have the most expansive presence in the Trade Organizations/Institutions of the Realms.
Faith: The most popular faith in the Merchant Cities of the North is that of The Grey Way. In recent times, the sect of Lekam (Malek) has found a home in the Merchant Cities – though predominantly in the Southern Merchant Cities where it seems to have its home. The Runel Rats of Irrigi have a strong presence in the North Merchant Cities
