An Elemental Sense is a Super Sensory capability that reads an area or event (not an entity) through filters of perception and understanding – either conscious or innate faculties. It cannot derive motivations of impersonal elements or events, nor exact causes without greater knowledge (though speculation can always be made/derived). Note that it is inexact. It cannot be used for precise way-finding or address specific safety concerns without significantly increased time and exposure; Most creatures have a Minor capability and use a target of Very Hard Difficulty. Those with a Major capability use Hard Difficulty and those with Significant capability use Average Difficulty.
The act of “sensing” requires the character remain in place. Individual species may vary, the use of this sense requires 3 rounds of uninterrupted Concentration. The rough numbers can be improved if the character has deep locale familiarity and/or gain Advantage if the character uses a 3 full minutes of Concentration (as an Investigate activity).
