Role-Play ++

This presents a good opportunity for adding Roleplaying elements to the Character.

Milieu Experience: Each species and/or culture has a Milieu value that they use to apply immersive life Experiences (environments like ‘rural’, cultural ones, etc.) which represent a portion of the life of a character and has had a great impact. The specific life Experiences must be available in the setting in which the character is created. One Experience may have another Experience as a requirement. Unless noted, characters can have a maximum of 2 Milieu measures when building their character. Every experience is part of a Character Chronicle.

Example Notation

SPECIES PROFILE ENTRY: Milieu Measures: 2

EXPERIENCE ENTRY: Cost 1 Milieu Measure (Requires Grollen Culture Experience)

Every Experience should have a brief Story to go with it, which reflects a typical upbringing or indoctrination. Of course experiences are widely varied by socio-economic status and locale, species, institutions, etc. Ethnic/cultural experiences assume broad generalities and the character’s outlook is specifically shaped by this experience. Characters adopting a Cultural Experience feature generally cannot also take the Cultural Lag feature. There should be no major issues in using multiple ‘Experiences’; Severe afflictions (physical or mental conditions) or social circumstances may preclude the character participating in some elements, depending on the culture and society.
