Mystical capabilities can be empowered through the use of material reagents. Individual features, rituals, ceremonies, spells, and powers will note what materials are required, and if extended reagents can be used to improve the potency of the effects. Empowered items and places, as well as thematic knowledge and practices can have similar effects. General Reagents is the most accessible to practitioners of the mystical arts as a means of improving their potency, though it can be expensive and is limited by normal availability guidelines. Various technological practices can make the gathering, refinement, and packaging of such reagents easier to acquire and use. Reagents are often used in the service of Mystical Discernment.
