Records of The Winter Host

Steel Realms

The real names of these liches are lost – the entirety of the nobility of Dundaria was wiped out in less than a half fortnight; little or no records remain on who survived and where – only that the conquerors were once nobles of the northern lands. What is unknown is how they hatched the scheme to steal the power of the god of death. While it is understood that they were once nobility of the north, but how they managed to gain the power to chain a god and siphon its power is unknown. Their records are not kept by themselves – they have no need.

The powers match none of those known before their rise to power – their worship of the death god has granted them power supreme in different areas – taking from their master the power they use for themselves.

They wished to rule forever each in their own “perfect domain”. Somehow, these perfect domains became the beautiful lands of the Dundarian kingdom frozen forever in its perfection. And “to rule forever” turned them into the creatures they are now.
