Prestige Items and Marks are symbols of Accolades and Accomplishment that inspire fear and/or a sense of duty/fealty in others. These take many forms, and must be recognized and understood for them to have any effect. Items of flashy/impressive nature can affect perception as a stronger leader. These may include awards & medals, status & rank symbols (uniform – condition, dress code), adornments on clothes (emblems, symbols, group colors and styles). It can also include equipment like weapons (emblems, symbols, group colors and styles) and armor (emblems, symbols, group colors and styles).
Common Standards: Social Standing/Status is reflected directly in a Standard of Living and indirectly in Clothing and signifiers such as Prestige in Places as well as Items and Marks. Conversely, such things may also be used to reflect or even present a specific level of Prestige fame, etc. A certain measure of such things may be required in Social Dealings and leveraged by Social Features and expected by Contact and shared bond of culture. All of these may vary by Availability and culture within a Setting and/or specific Properties of a Locale/Settlement.
Prestige Markers make good mundane Rewards. The assumption of institutional Vows/Oaths may also issue a Prestige Marker in acknowledgement. Prestige Markers may be single medals, etc. or a collection of related ones that together paint an impressive picture. Keep in mind, all values herein are a suggested _Baseline_ only. A collection of Prestige Markers may be increased by the sheer number of them, not just the value of each.
