Negatively (Diminished) Impacted Senses

Negatively Impacted Senses are Sensory Expression where a specific Impacted Sense is diminished or weakened in some regard so as to impact the base Perception checks of the character. When taken, one of the Impacted Senses is chosen: hearing, sight, smell, etc. Each sense is impacted independently unless otherwise noted.

Familiarity is not affected by a sensory adjustment – such as in a dog being intimately familiar with its owner’s scent. Only the sensitivity to perceive it is affected.

Feature (Trait): Where an naturally Diminished Sense is not granted by race/species, they can only normally be acquired and reduced to the set measure at the time of Character Inception. A Diminished Sense acquired this way will grant CP equal to the Perception check adjustment.

  • Feeble: Outcome for checks where the sense plays a direct role apply a -4 adjustment.
  • Weak: Outcome for checks where the sense plays a direct role apply a -2 adjustment.
  • Dull: Outcome for checks where the sense plays a direct role apply a -1 adjustment.
