General Litany (Follower of Faith)
A pledge of observing the General Litany is the basic level of Liturgical Observance; It is adherence to a general set of principles, values, and activities of a faith which is to be shared and practiced by the community of followers. Further litany specifies a narrower active code. The general litany must be recognized as something which ultimately bows to the civil/temporal authorities. Anyone may profess to follow the tenets of the litany, but are not subject to Censure or Transgression unless they are bound by oath. A General Litany is an expression of the “Common Covenant” (Trivial Tenets, Benefits, and Expectations).
