Klaurian (centaur)

Steel Realms
Klaurians are beasts which are a cross of either horse, deer or elk, and human (like the Greek myth of centaurs). They generally now dwell ONLY in North Pines – in Kulim’s Expanse ; The only culture they have was developed and persisted here.

They are incredibly robust and hardy warriors and most are devout followers of the Wyld Faith.

Klaurians are organized into families or ‘herds’. They get tattoos to identify their family and self.

Klaurian Refuge in the Rhyl Forest: They -They grew even bigger, and became its premiere guardians – the Kalurians (originally Klaurian was their clan name). They are massive, powerful, passionate, militaristic, and compulsive protectors of the forest.

Weapons: Use a war bow made of strong sinew of a Klaurian priest that makes a cracking sound – called a thunder bow; it requires a 7 MUS to pull it and a 2m or taller character. Arrows do an extra base 3 with AP / shorter range

Biology

Half Klaurian babies take the species of the mother to ensure an easy birth that does not kill them. Humanoid offspring have vaguely horse-like features – “horse face”, large with thick brownish skin, with an emphasis on physical attributes over mental. Rarely are elves able to intermingle their blood, but it does sometimes happen.
