Ponderak’s Glint is an massive (18,841 km diameter avg.) icy planet in the Epliisean System – one of the three systems in the Hherket-Lanning Group. It is only warm at its equator seasonally, and about 1.3 AU from its sun, Mh’n Cinni. It has ocean life, including a couple primitive intelligent and sentient on the The Gaelin-M’sbhik Sentience Scale.
Resources are rare metals (thought to be from bombardment), but the the brutal environment of the planet makes the cost not worth it. Continuing mining expeditions have sought out something to make it worth their while, but nothing has been developed for large scale mining.
There is a permanent space station in orbit, and the planet is used as a water and hydrogen source for ships, including its moons.
