Formad VI is the largest of the Moons of Ponderak’s Glint. It orbits Ponderak’s Glint at a distance of 284,200 km. It has a diameter of 4,256 km, and is super dense – possibly a captured object. It has a weak magnetic field, and is half covered in a glacial ice sheet with an orbit of 53 days and it rotates on its axis every 4 days. There are two known continents.
In the galactic year X, a human planetary settlement ship crashed on the moon, having run out of supplies and fuel amidst some sort of emergency. It was thought all hands were lost, but invasive species and signs of life appeared after a few hundred years, detected from the space station orbiting the planet. While the conditions are brutal, the settlement ship’s cargo was obviously used to attempt to live and to some success. The “people” on the planet are feral by imperium standards, having devolved socially. They are called “Crazies” pejoratively by those passing through the system. Their lifespan seems limited to only about 50 years, as bacteria infections create a rotting disease in the few samples that have been recovered for study. No signs of advanced technology have been detected. It is monitored and left alone with the idea that once sufficiently developed (if they survive), they may be integrated as a ‘invasive species’.
