The Dawn Blades of Ikribu (bygone)

Steel Realms
The Dawn Blades of Ikribu were made by the mystics of Ikribu long ago to help protect the defenses at North Gate Garrison as they were being built; Their powers operated no matter who held them. They had a golden eagle on a red sun emblazoned on the crosspiece. All share the power of causing pain and rupturing the power that animates the undead. The red sun sparkles when it hits, and wounds smoulder. It is even more potent in the rays of the rising sun. The Dawn Blades held back hordes of undead as the defenses were being constructed. They were in conjunction with each other, chaining the rays of the blazing sun. Those who wielded them were assured of a clean death, a sanctified one. Many wielded them in sacrifice, gradually the minions of the Lich Lords sundered them, tearing them apart and smashing them. None survived the process of building The Autumn Wall; Or perhaps some may have survived, but are buried under the ice, debris, and bones of the many who fought against and for them.

Morning Star

The original, named The Morning Star was wielded by Galbon, a member of the Order of the Black Gorgon (and knight of Ikribu) in service to the High King. It is lost somewhere north of The Autum Wall, taken there to fight the lich lords armies, while it was being constructed. Morning Star could harness the power of the rising sun and send burning white rays of light which deanimated simple animations, and burned the flesh of undead up to 1km away. Galbon’s niece, Belrina, quested after it. Legend says she found it, and its much closer than anyone knew, but that she was slain – at least she never returned. A lesser version of Morning Star was thought to be carried by her.
