The Others: There were many species

The Awareness: There is a larger universe with suns and planets

The Ship: A craft of metal that flew and repairing it.
For those on board at the time, you only remember a terrifying ordeal. For some of you, you were locked in isolation cubes and your first solid memories begin at the crash. Taken in various circumstances, captured by Neogin on various worlds of the Imperium. Coming out of sleep into wreckage – many others beside you dashed into pulp and dead. Then at least a year of being forced to labor, trying to dig out and rebuild the craft. Over that time the others were gathered.

The Escape: A calamity and shared escape.
Captured, abused, worked to exhaustion alongside goblins and a few other races, you came to understand you were ‘owned’ by the Neogin slavers and would eventually be sold to the highest bidder. Tortured for amusement until your memories were all but dreams, you were all forced to learn a common language spoken by your captors and some of the others. Strange creatures came and went, and you caught glimpses outside of a massive green creature with wings.

Just as the insect creatures you were forced to call “masters” seem ready to re-launch their craft, a great calamity struck. The earth shifted, there were loud sounds and a bright flash – the isolation cubes kept you safe from the worst of it, but each of you had 2 strange brands appear in the same place. A disruption in the power opened the doors.

The slaves fought the masters and several of you younger ones decided that escape was a better chance than fighting with the bigger creatures. You fled into a countryside full of strange mists, thunder, lightning, quakes and more until the river’s edge was encountered. The baying of the big creatures that tracked escaped slaves could be heard in the distance.

Through the fog on the riverbank, a couple of you hear familiar words, but barely remember their meaning. They hear orders being yelled in the Tarmysian dialect of their home. Safe, you yell to the others, and start scrambling down the bank, yelling for help.
