Barulian Rejuvenation (Orrish Healing)

Barulian Rejuvenation is a special healing elixir of healing prepared by Orrish shamans for their warriors. It’s secret is passed down from their dark gods and it is believed that it takes conviction of faith in them in order to brew it successfully as no other has.

To non-Orrish, the brew can be lethal. Those who are able, can barely choke down its contents. It is foul and unsettling and as it hits the stomach, causing a gag reflex. The healing has a chilling effect as it makes its way through the circulatory system feeling like ice.

  • Non-Orrish Convulsions: DC 15 Constitution check or convulsions for 3 rounds (1 level of Exhaustion) – no healing effect. Fumbled check is death.
  • Healing: 20 points after 1 round. Within 24 hours the non-Orrish imbiber must enter into a Deep Sleep for 12 hours.

Requirements: Non-Orrish must make a VGR check or convulse and throw up, negating its effects (a fumbled check means convulsions and death).

Common Effects:

  1. It heals 20 points instantly… but it has a side effect which is dangerous. The imbiber must take a deep sleep (per trait; SAN check or fall asleep each round) for 12 hours, 24 hours after they imbibe it. Effects of multiple are cumulative.

The introduction of this was from the surviving Lich Ring of Barrule. Sent as a dream to Sun Stealer, Elancil sent her minions to the wreck of sunken Barrule and from there its growth and harvest in the Dark Lands has been steady. its formulation has been part of the standard healing for Orrish for thousands of years, and has changed their DNA. Which the Lich Ring of Barrule return, they will usurp control of the Orrish from the Unholy Trinity!
