Pirates and privateers of the worst sort. They are black hearted cannibals of the Stormfront coast that have pledged their body and soul to Sunstealer.
General knowledge…
It started out over a hundred years ago when a merchant ship crashed off the Dragon Coast. The survivors were forced to resort to cannibalism. As they gradually died, and their prayers fell on deaf ears, they promised any dark power that would listen to save them. At once the burning pangs of hunger burned their bellies, driving them to madness. Their tears turned black and they attacked each other until exactly half were left. Using a raft of corpses, they floated back into the shipping lanes and were rescued. They turned on their rescuers, and thus began the cult as they gathered crew and pledges to their dark god Sunstealer. Those not offered a crew spot were eaten. It is considered a plague or curse, and they are only hired by other pirates or most villainous.
