The tech Havluck is known for is its electrical lightning – the entire city is well lit. Like most of “The Mech Belt“, it has mills and lathes and has some coal fired sources producing steam for crude turbines.

The ruins of Aramore are ruins of an Umbakian settlement.
A dense stand of prickly flowers like cattails grows by the side of the road. The ancient water wheel is in ruins. Peering intently at the ruins, you circle it. The wood has long since decayed, but the stone foundation is still in good shape. Passing one of the windows, it looks like bones are visible within.
A tall, wildly overgrown hedgerow spans the road. Brambles and ivy coil through the dense undergrowth to surround the ancient forge.
A dilapidated, partially collapsed stone fence marks the boundary of one of the town’s properties. Much of it is rotten and covered in moss and lichens.
Several large apple trees grow in front of a dilapidated house. Rotten, decomposing apples litter the ground.
The roof of a nearby house has completely collapsed. Birds nest among the ruins and take wing if anyone enters the building.
Weeds and grass grow over the disused road. Only deeply gouged wagon tracks show where the road ran.
The nearby field is overgrown and wild. The rustle of small creatures moving through the tall grass is easily audible.
A riot of wild flowers covers the bank by the side of the road.

The Lofflin Family of Umbak though on of the powerful Umbakian Bloodlines, this family is not considered one of the “old bloods” of Umbak. Their ascendancy occurred about 1000 years ago, after a great raid of Orrish had rampaged through the NE of Umbak proper – behind their own lands which were considered “Edgelands” of Umbak. They moved their family seat from their older lands, into lands given to them by the King of Umbak, within its formally sanctified and blessed borders. They were given the charge of reclaiming the Falcon Reach area in completion. The area was the site of a great battle between the Orrish and Sualmen the Broken Tooth, an Orrish champion and his horde that swelled up in the under-reaches of the Temple of Aerna Golden Hem.
Patron: The King of Umbak; Ikribu, The Maker – Lord of the Lightbringers
Family Crest/Symbol: A bare hand grasping a Umbakian broadsword pointing east, resting on the top edge of a white unadorned shield.
Motto: “The Shield of the Edgelands”

The Lofflin Family of Umbak though on of the powerful Umbakian Bloodlines, this family is not considered one of the “old bloods” of Umbak. The family were considered ‘outsiders’ – living outside the traditional borders of the kingdom, but still claiming to be part of it. As such, their opportunities were limited, but they continued to marry into older blood lines when they could. As such, their name, while not traditionally Umbakian, has now been “sanctified” and added to the official rolls. They have worked hard to gain the favor of the King. They brought with them back into the fold, one of the Blood Blades of Umbak. This was taken from them when its wielder was struck down by an Ork champion, while they were defending the kingdoms territory in the NE.
Set in Grand Duchy of Dunstrand in the Steel Realms of the [Fantasy] Steel Realms, as a Living World storyline.
The Blood Blade of Umbak of their family was returned by the Gallants! The family has worked to restore the Temple of Aerna of the Golden Hem. Siress Colette Lofflin was promised in marriage to Aelwyn Cei (‘Kye’) of the Gallants. After not receiving any news after he traveled north, they assumed he died. She went into the order of the White Sisters of Aerna.
Family Patron: Lightbringers – Whelm.
The family took the place of the family, that was rendered extinct in the battles against the Orrish Champion Sualmen the Broken Tooth. Prior to that, they were a stalwart supporter of the Lofflin blood for 800 years. Several knights of the Silver Talents have come from their ranks, as well as having at least one woman of each generation willingly enter the order of the White Sisters of Aerna (and sponsor the order with a monetary donation annually). Elder male family members have a tradition of military service rather than crafters, and have a known inclination to protect the White Sisters, especially as they age and retire to the land.
