Bearing of the Perceptive

How a character bears themselves – the way they inherently think, act, and organize/develop their capabilities – can have a huge impact on both roleplaying and the mechanics of the game. These are reflected in the aptitude talents that they possess.

Optimal Requirements: (Always a Minimum Kinetic Aptitude 1) Depending on Pathway and/or Calling.

Measures of Bearing

Assuming a character meets the Optimal Requirements, they gain an option of three capabilities that reflect their depth of commitment to their outlook.

i20™ Bearing Details

  1. Heightened Awareness: +1 on any chance to detect the presence of something that uses the physical senses
  2. Preferred Weapon: pick a Proficient Weapon and gain +1 Initiative
  3. Heightened Defense: When Disengaging, you can re-check Initiative

    As a free activity, the character can use 1 Chi (anima energy) to increase the Awareness or initiative bonus, to a maximum = to their Kinetic Aptitude.
