Discovering Talent
The discovery of Aptitude Talent can take many specific forms. Depending on the setting, there may be specific individuals or institutions whose role it is to find others like themselves or to sense such powers and recruit or record them. A setting or a locale may even suppress or enhance talent – making it more difficult or easier to sense. Some talents may have capabilities themselves to suppress their own talent, hiding it from detection. Discovering Aptitude Talent is different for self discovery, and seeking it out in others. Talent is directly attached to Character Paths and Callings, and can reveal such things.
Self Discovery: Most characters are intuitively in touch with their talents by the time they are child, for certain by their adolescence. they may not be able to articulate them in detail, but can sense them and their relative prevalence. Characters with the Meditation feature have an advantage to unlock, develop, and make best use of aptitude capabilities. The process of discovery is defined in the workings of each type of talent reflected in the Pillar Aptitudes.

Seeking Others: The easiest way to sense others of kindred ability is through Aura Sight. Individuals or institutions may be able to subject a target to a Ceremony of Revealing.
