The Dwarven Kingdom of Donnerblock
The dwarven Kingdom of Donnerblock in the south side of North Gate Pass – a massive valley that opened north, surrounded by mountains, a spur from the Tolkisson Mountain Range. Massive resource deposits, but no iron, so the Ducateon left it alone generally; A few near-surface mines were hastily taken for what they could offer in easy access. Later, the Dwarves found a massive surface vein of copper and a near surface vein of beryllium high in the peaks and were able to make a potent Beryllide alloy (along with a couple more elements) for armaments slightly more flexible and about 5% heavier than steel. They only made armor of this for their own people. Founded in CY 600. Lost 50% of their population (30,000 approximately) in CY 956 to Dragon of Rhyl assault that exhausted it.
This territory is considered Dominion of the High King Lands means the rulers have given the Sworn Oath of High King’s Service to the High King of the Steel Realms. As with all allies of and lands under the Dominion of the High King, this locale is subject to the Realms Levy.
After it was settled by the dwarves it was attacked a few times once word got out of the resources. The dwarves used massive boulder traps to fend off larger groups of foes at the valley mouth, giving it its name – “Thunder Boulder”.
