The benefit of being part of the territorial kingdom of Gladnor or the extended ‘Grand’ fiefdoms is the economic and military support, and the coordinated efforts of all other powerful forces aligned through the dynastic High Kings. This includes enhanced Worlds Watcher functions, operation of The Black Gorgons, and the coordination of faith and occult powers at the High King’s and their allies’ disposal. With the constant threats of The Dark LAnds, the Lich Lords, the unstable southern Borderlands, and the primacy of the trade blocks of Gwinn and The Merchant Cities, alliance with the High King has been seen as a means of mitigating these perils and creating a more stable and lasting peace.

To prevent the past turmoil of succession politics, the Charter of the High King states that the High King of the Steel Realms shall raise no family member to Peerage greater than Knight.

This territory is considered Dominion of the High King Lands means the rulers have given the Sworn Oath of High King’s Service to the High King of the Steel Realms.
