The Valley of Sighs has disgorged more creatures since the Lich Lord Zoras The Despoiler‘s final death in 9168 by The Gallantine of Dunstrand. By now, everyone knows that a Lich Lord was killed and it has reduced their power. There are a lot less incursions in the north hinterlands and heartlands from their forces over the last decade. Gwinn lost the Tarmysiam peninsula in CY 9174, and has shifted their focus to conquering new lands in the far north. The ‘Devastation of Dwindor’ in Dunstrand left the Orrish without their fiercest driving force – the dark lord Sun Stealer. The end of the Long Summer of Elancil and the quiet of the Dark Lands began with a new campaign of darkness that the dark gods had orchestrated, fizzled out with his manifestation against the Godspeak Accord being destroyed by the Lightbringers. The Dark Lands are growing quiet once again. Into this, as if sensing weakness, a massive changestorm grew in the Valley of Sighs and it has seen a massive increase in ‘incursions’ of monsters that have mostly savaged the Orrish of The Dark Lands and the Lich Lords’ forces in The Fallen North.
