The Trial of the Rite
Each Rite has a “Rite Process” must be gone through as it progresses. The normal Rite may achieve a “Simple Result” by merely marking it with a Cost Portion of offerings OR possessing Meditation of a specified minimum measure. Optionally, the practitioner can achieve success through the Rite Trial for each stage. A Rite Trial allows the character to seek more rewards for a particularly well executed implementation. It risks additional cost and/or time (by a factor of the {base time cycle} listed for the Rite). It is assumed the minimal daily costs of living are covered by the faith institution or the characters involved.
- Divine Phenomenology or Conviction: Allows the rite practitioner to directly beseech the Divine Principal and participate in the rite rather than be lead through it by another follower who does possess the requisite knowledge (intercession) for a “Simple Result”. The rite practitioner must possess a measure equal or greater than the Rite Measure.
- Ritual Phenomenology: Allows the practitioner to setup, alter, and breakdown the rite. Halves all costs. The rite practitioner must possess a measure equal or greater than the Rite Measure.
