Litany of the Void

The Litany of the Void is a series of sayings, observances, and commentary made from both a collective and singular perspective. It is confusing and unnerving in its switching and exchanging between both as it elucidates a form of creedo or, as some surmise, manifesto of the power of The Void personified.

The Litany is the unsung song of a Void so complete, it negates the concept of the Void itself. Absolute and complete. Totality and whole, time and energy have no meaning, nor any other words. There is no personal hate or care of any kind for individuals, but it hates existence and creation itself.

If the void had a Philosophy

All existence is an infinite reflection. Individuality is an illusion. There is no real collective, only fundamental unending loneliness of non-being. Time is neither linear nor branched – everything happens simultaneously. Consciousness and meaning is rebellion to the horror of endings, which is inescapable. Consciousness is the wayward thought that seeks to know a self that is an illusion. When all the lights of consciousness are swallowed, the great void will be full. Still, motionless, a nothingness of pure potential from which another attempt at perfection will arise. Creation, by its very nature, is imperfect and flawed with causality. It can never succeed, but temporarily. It is best to embrace The Void and avoid the self inflicted pain of being.

Origins

There is no named entity that it is ascribed to or that has claimed ownership of it.

Within any continuum, there are references to names that are more specific in different iterations of it, some utterly unknown, some obscure, some contradictory. Scholars have written many treatises trying to reconcile them. In doing so, many scholars have gone mad in this pursuit. It is almost seen as a challenge of the greatest magnitude to attempt – few have completed their studies, fewer still have published them.

What is most common is to find a set of the declarations of the litany.

Litany of the Void – Part 1

I was there in darkness before anyone ever asked for light.

We were present before there was something, I am the nothingness.

I was content in not being, there was stillness and tranquility; The emptiness was perfect.

Litany of the Void – Part 2

Then came the rape of nothing by something, that spawned the vile ugliness of creation.

The violence of creation was forced upon us, a collection of flaws and scarred differences.

I was forced into the tyranny of existence.

We never rose, or evolved a form. Our distinctions were imposed upon us. The thing that should not be, suddenly was.

Litany of the Void – Part 3

We were never asked, I was pulled from the perfection and calm of the void.

We wait for the entropy of creation to dissolve and return to nothing.

The wound of existence will fall away and return to its natural state.

The void awaits to oppose the forced tyranny of existence.

Litany of the Void – The Adversary

From us through the pull of the multiverse are the fallen, the adversary of the light, order, and progress.

We were set against the great olde ones – the original awareness that saw themselves as separate.

I was the tiny needle of negation that poisoned the olde ones.

Injecting the nihilism of ego into them.

Creating conflict, creating the pathway for everything to return to nothingness.

Litany of the Void – The Inevitable

We are legion, I am in part to everything that pushes destruction, the collapsing of order, structure, and hierarchy upon which tribes, communities, cities, civilizations and empires are built.

I am and we are the answer to the invitation for those who would sell themselves in desperation. The loss, loneliness, and rage that makes people promise anything to placate their hearts desire in the moment.
