The The Heroes Ride is an attempt to push the Curtain of Night backwards, shrinking the size of the Dark Lands and exposing Orrish to the perils of the Sun-Bane of Helca.

Begins on the Black Fens and Ends in Northgate Garrison. You must go through the Valley of Sighs.

The modern age is heavily defined by the clash of faiths in the Affray of Darkness and Light” in which it can have a significant impact.

Attempt: To Those who can can sense primeval, primordial or a strong divine or evil presence, attempting it is like sending out a challenge. The awareness of it happening is initially felt both those able to perceive a slight disturbance, and once it is enjoined, it can be felt by all manner of entities and beings that have abilities making them receptive to sensing such strong good/evil intents.

Impact: Shrinks the Curtain of Night by about 500sq km if fully successful. It typically does so in areas where the forces of light are pushing or have moved in force to its very edge.

North Revealed CAMPAIGN CHRONICLE >> The North Revealed is a Living World campaign set in The Northern Hearthlands/Grand Duchy of Rhyl of the [Fantasy] Steel Realms.

In CY 9181, a group calling themselves “The Summer Attendants” almost made The Heroes Ride to push back The Curtain of Night. They went over Autumn Wall, through North Gate Pass and the Valley of Sighs. They were stopped south of The Night’s Fist, pursued by the forces of Errha The Burner. They were finally caught and slain on the scoured plains of Dar-Hashuk. Their flayed bodies were display in Six Spires Pass.
