The Central Heartlands have a long and rich history. They are the largest fertile stretch of lands in the realms. The weather is good and the land grows food abundantly. They are also some of the most contested set of boundaries outside of the borderlands to the south. The unique position of Umbak renders it a constant issue in dealing with its neighbors and appeals to the High King’s justice. Although it is part of the central heartlands, The Kingdom of Umbak holds itself discreet from the High King’s territorial claims. The Torgrimson River marks the divide between the Central Heartlands and South Heartlands, fed by the strange and wondrous Gunhild Rise.

Faeum River flows west from the foothills of the Tolkisson Mountain Range to Lake Caolite, It is the eastern division of the North Heartlands and Central Heartlands being the boundary of the Duchy of Aelmire and the Grand Duchy of Rhyl.
