Beastwood of the Wyld Faith

Beastwoods are sacred places that are centers of power for Darupet and The Wylde Horde. These places should, in all ways possible, represent the Loop of Life. These are most often guarded by spirits that are bound to Numinous Fauna. These are sacred to the numinous spirit they are dedicated to. There are far more Briarwood then Beastwoods. Beastwoods are more heavily guarded by the beasts associated with them, cradles of power few and far between that druids may draw upon for defenders and allies. The bounds of the Beastwood are the only place from which the Wyld Rite of Eyes of Darupet can be enacted, Fiongala is especially known for this (“Fox News”). Animist Figurines are found in Beastwoods and Briarwood have them as guardians, triggered by a common Wyld Rite.

p>The largest Green Vault‘s sit on a larger patch of land, and may have a Beastwood or Briarwood. As well, the Beastwoods and Briarwoods within within towns and cities will often have these integrated in them – these edifices are for housing the clergy and supplies & services for their followers.

There is a Beastlaeyn role (title may vary or be absent) in each Beastwood of the Wyld Faith; This is the Follower who manages the locale and its mystical defenses. They are a senior representative of the order or group it is tied to. They have less interaction with the public unless they are the only one shepherding the local flock.

Enhanced Defense: The defense of the Briarwood & Beastwoods allows those bound to it to call upon the powers of the wyld to add power to their attacks. As long as they are defending it, or inside it, the beasts of the wyld enable the defender to enhance their attack by spending Synergy to accomplish one of the following:

  • Biting – Greater damage
  • Stinging – Poison (weakness)
  • Clawing – Rends armor
  • Butting – Knockback
  • Goring – Aggravated

The Druids of the Wyld Faith are guardians of the sacred spaces – Briarwoods and Beastwoods. These are also fortifications for them and the Wylde Horde.
