Rhylande (spirit of Rhyl)
Rhylande (spirit of Rhyl) is one of the Numinous Mundi of Helca of awakened Helca. If it has a home within the great Forest of Rhyl, it is The Glimmerglen.
Also known as “The Spirit of Rhylan”. This spirit is elusive and less defensive than some of the others of awakened Helca. The deep forest allows it a place to wander and loose its material presence, watching everything, including the Autumn Wall as the cold from there is exchanged with the heat of the sun on the forest. Over thousands of years, the great numinous spirit has become distrustful and sullen; The exchange of heat on the Autumn Wall it helped to enact was supposed to be a thousand year epoch, but its been continuous and no progress has been made.
In the modern age, only the Druunad have constant and direct access to it, or can bargain or “reason” with it to facilitate contact with the inhabitants of the Grand Duchy of Rhyl. Not even the druids have as much persuasive power with this great spirit. They only have the power to enact The Green Passage of Helca through it.
