Darkhollow (Sacred Place) of the Unholy Trio
A Darkhollow (underground) or Darkgrotto (outdoor, but having all light obscured) is a place of power for the Unholy Trio’s servants and minions. Ritual sacrifice of sentient life is used to make it; To those not of the faith, its air is choking, its walls freezing, the Earth molders at their tread. The Entourage of Shadow helped to perfect these unholy places and their manifestations of power.
Regardless of who the particular place is dedicated to, all unholy places will have all three “broken seals” of the trinity of darkness, inscribed in Blackmark (Markings of Darkhollow).
Many a Darkhollow was used as the final resting place for Orrish heroes, typically in a configuration known as “The Black Sleep“. Most Darkhollows have a Shadow Creche.
