Masons Under the River (secretive Dwarven craft order)
The “Masons Under the River” are part of the crafting culture of the Dwarven Crafting in the Steel Realms. At great cost, these can be hired – they known for their secrecy and discretion. The river is the “flow of information” that normally leaks out about constructions. They are known to provide services generally untraceable and without blueprints or records.
Stone Regents: The “Stone Regents” are agents in dwarven settlements that will coordinate a project – bringing in dwarves from across the continent, do work, and ship them back or disperse them – all sworn to secrecy.
Sworn to Secrecy
Those off these ranks are wealthy and rare. If they whisper their secrets then they are foresworn. If this happens, worksong will no longer make a sound! This is telltale – “never hire a mute dwarf” is not for love of song but actually refers to this!
