The The Purge of Hermenna in CY 9120 is considered by many to bookmark the beginning of the end of The Long Summer of Elancil.
Augury of Aerna: Through a series of events and auguries, Hermenna the High Priestess of Aerna in High Temple of Aerna in Rhyl revealed a long plan to buy the Lich Lords to corrupt and attack the lands of The Red March in Rhyl and the entire area around Lake Caolite and its Rivers – the natural barrier to armies moving south. The plot and its participants were revealed and attacked.
Purge of the Masters: It ousted (fleeing into the domain of the Lich Lords) or killed every malign master and apprentice magus, warlock, and priest along the shores of Lake Caolite, its tributaries and southern Rhyl. The purge itself lasted about 4 months at its peak.
Persistent Patrols: It took a decade before the Silver Talent order left the roads to Rhyl back to the levels they were before The Purge. This left many locals resentful. Its thought a few of those rounded up in these years were not guilty, other than by association, and paid the ultimate price within the arms of the zeal of The Silver Talents.
Untouched: In Rhyl, the Rhylander Green Conjurists have a close alliance with House Narcosa (a Necromancer Order of Salt Shore) – The Purge of Hermenna that ousted every malign master and apprentice along the shores of Lake Caolite in 9120 left both orders untouched.
