Grief Hollow (battle between Mizras and Sun Stealer)
The Account of Grief Hollow in CY 15 is part of the Records of the Grey Fire. Mizras is known as the spiller of blood. It is a dual reference to his followers, but also to the fact that in the great battle of Grief Hollow in The Valley of Sighs, he was backed into a dead end canyon by Sun Stealer and his followers.
It was here that he brought out the Stone Fury, the silent rage that caught his opponents off guard. Like the fury of a berserker, but silent. Not reckless, but relentless. He was struck by a hundred small blades, and Sun Stealer several times. The blade that the dark god wielded at the time was shattered, leaving only a hilt and stub that was cast upon the battlefield when he retreated. The blood of the cuts the blade made pumped upon the rocks and soil – turning it red.
Both gods were able to live to fight another day, but the entire hollow was turned red. Their survivors were overcome by a grief that caused most of them to commit suicide.
